That being said, I loved what she sent, but couldn't wrap my head around all of it and went a bit minimalist. To make up for it, I made an easel card!



I used some distressing on the image....must admit it looks better IRL. I used the awesome lace and fashioned a bow topped with the dragonfly. I used the half pearls to set off the top right corner and added two of my own to hold up the easel. The banners I shortened to jazz up the inside!

Twisted....

As you (hopefully) know, I scored a guest DT spot over at the Twisted Tuesday Challenge Blog for the month of April {appropriate, right??}.

So, last week when the challenge came out I was remorseful about my awful first attempt at flowers and an animal on the same card.

But, I promised to show you....not sure why I did that.... So, here it is

It's been "Identified"

Today is the tenth, meaning that I am allowed to show of the card I made for our Unidentified Swap.

Lovely Carol sent the image this month. In case you don't know, every other month a group of us exchange an image and make a card with it (well, four cards actually), but it stays a secret until the due date! The image called "A Couple of Cuties," from Clear Art Stamps. Totally a Carol image.....totally beyond my scope.....but, I love a challenge!

I went with a pink palette, kept it CAS with just a bit of washi tape and an embossed background and here it is:

It's Raining....

again.....
Crazy weather here in Western New York. The weekend was beautiful ~ sunny skies and the temperature was close to 70f. Last night, the temps dropped and a thunderstorm rolled through - even woke the house!

More Flowers

Hello Friend!

Another post from me today! Can you tell that February break is upon us here in Western New York? That means less kid watching and more crafting time for me!! WooHoo!

A few weeks back, my friend Melina asked me to guest design over at her fantastic challenge blog ~ Twisted Tuesday! What's a girl to say? Of course, I said YES!

I wrote the challenges on my calendar, pulled out some things to make the first card, made the card, and put it aside. Yesterday, I realized that March had flown by and I needed to take pictures and email Melina. Phew, was I busy today....lol. Why? Because just this afternoon, I decided I hated my card!

So, I made a new one! Didn't even try to save anything off it.....in fact, didn't even tear it apart because I am going to show it to you within the week.
Theres is the new one. I followed the current challenge - #287 - over at Mojo Monday! I love how this card turned out! Proves I can mix designer papers up once in a while....lol!
