Disclaimer....I did use a bad word in this post.....
Well, this weekend we are going to a surprise party for a friend's father. He is turning 65 and the family decided to have a "ROAST" for him.
I don't have a funny story, but I did make him a funny card.
Here comes the bad word....so don't look at the card if you can't take it....
This card uses an image from Marjie's Malarkies. The paper was all gifted to me and the bling is generic from WM.
I know, short post; but I am supposed to be packing so that I can go camping....

Whacked Out Wednesday
Maybe, Out of Whack Wednesday would have been a better name for today's blog....
I am not sure if I got out of bed on the wrong side or if the Earth decided to tilt, but my day is off to a strange start.... It could even be because my son stayed with his Auntie last night and that threw me off....
Regardless of why my day is whacked, I made a card using my new favorite colors...orange and blue (GO SU). This card features Deedee's Digis "Cuties for a Cure" set and is done in all primary colors to fulfil the challenge requirement this week over there.
Thanks for stopping by~

Short post after a Delightful Day
My BFF and her family came to spend the day with me and mine...it was a great day! We went to the local zoo and then off to a late lunch and a walk along the pier at Lake Ontario. My DS, who is 11, enjoyed the day and loved being allowed to use the 'big' camera.... He is actually quite the photographer along with being a fine paper crafter! He has some images that he has been coloring and can't wait to post them here. He had plans of doing it tonight, but camping with his Auntie won out....
So, instead, you get to see my card tonight using the latest digi from Designed2Delight called 'Fishin' Around'.
The sketch and the challenge (to use ribbon, twine or STRING) was offered up at Double Delight with D2D (#8).
Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Happy Anniversary
A very short post today....have to get it in while EK is sleeping....
Today's card celebrates the Anniversary of EK's parents, Joe and Johanna!!
They are wonderful people and truly deserve much happiness!
Thanks for stopping by; my DS says my card is boring, so I'd love to know what you think?
Here's to a happy weekend,

Thursday?? Where has my week gone??
What a short week I am having. I really can't believe it is already Thursday... I am looking forward to school starting back up for my darling son. Probably not as much as he is, but then again, he just loves school!! I am more excited that next week I get to spend the day with MY BFF...we are going to the local amusement park on Monday....everyone pray for great weather for us!! I don't even have EK, so I won't have to run after him all day! PHEW (I love the little guy, but it would be even more tiring....lol)
My card today has nothing to do with my post. LOL
This card is using just this week's free sentiment from Deedee's Digis. I chose to do CAS for this one. I used the first part of the verse on the card front and then "With deepest sympathy" on the inside. The paper was from a stack I had purchased from Big Lots and the only embelly is a vintage button I picked up at an estate sale a few months back.
Thanks for looking and I hope you are having a great week!

What a Wednesday...
Good Afternoon Fellow blurfers....
Today, I have my final two page accents to show off..... I bet Melina will be happy to finally get these, once they are mailed out this weekend!
The fall accents were made using a digi from Designed2Delight, a computer generated title, a die from Sizzix and Close To My Heart stamps and ink.
The summer accents were made using a digi from TLcCreations, a computer generated title with CTMH stamps and CTMH ink and stamps for the corner accent.
These accents were alot of fun to create...have even jump started my mojo to work on my own pages....lol
I hope that maybe they have helped your creative juices to flow... It truly was fun to see how I could combine stamping, digi coloring and classic scrapbooking!
Thanks for stopping by!

A Delightful Tuesday
Yep, I have a card that features an image from over at Designed2Delight. This week, Faith is looking forward....all the way to autumn. I love this image and have even used it for some page candy. Picture coming tomorrow when I get the rest of the accents done.
The paper is all from the box I bought from my SCS pal, Sam. The image was colored with Copics and accented with gel pen and a bit of white. The image was printed on cream CS and popped up with just a bit of foam.
Besides linking up to the D2D site, I am entering it in the challenge over at Double Delight. They want us to keep it Clean and Simple. I think I have done that!!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Dueling Darling Dazzlers...
Yep, that is a mouthful!
I am sure you are curious as to what the Dazzlers are.....(Even if you aren't, pretend for my sake, okay? I am the sensitive type.) Well, the Dazzlers is a group of crafters that are sharing kits. There are 7 of us that work off the same kit and see what we can make. There are also 7 Dueling Darling Divas; and while they don't work from the same kit as the Dazzlers, the theme for the month is the same.
This month, our hostess was Jeanette and she sent:
The image: Sweet KiKi LaRue from CC Designs,
The DP: You Scream, Ice Cream for Doodle Design, Inc. along with a piece of teal vellum from Colorbok,
Embellies: ribbon; Dashes, Dots and Checks from Michael's, Buttons from Paper Studio, a clip from WalMart, and a chipboard letter from K&Co.
I hoarded the chipboard letter and the buttons, but used all of the other parts of the kit!
Thanks for waiting patiently to see my card....I just had to get the details out of the way....
What do you think? And just so you can compare, here are what the other Dueling Darlings came up with:
And just for your viewing pleasure, with the 'leftovers' I made a corner bookmark....
I think I will be sending these off to a friend!
Thanks for stopping by!

Winter Page Candy
I joined a swap for {scrapbook} page candy so that I would be more motivated to catch up my books to present day. My mojo is working, so that is a plus...but, I have yet to work on my OWN scrapbook. I am sure that once winter sets in here in the Northeast US, I will be more motivated to sit down and work on them.
This candy should start getting me in the mood....
Deets: papers unknown origin, and ink and stamps from CTMH, and the title is computer generated.

Do I Really NEED a Title??
So, it has been a few days since I posted, but I have been working on some projects. It has been hot and humid for the past few days and that means we trekked over to my FIL's house to take advantage of his AC. I only took limited things to his house....and wouldn't you know it, I forget a couple important things {very important, as in blocks so I could stamp}.
But, I do have a set of scrapbook page 'candy' to show you. One down, three to go in a swap that is due in a month....I must admit that I have parts made for the other seasons, just not all together as of yet.
The paper is nameless....the stamps came from Close To My Heart and The Greeting Farm....ink is CTMH.
Thanks for stopping by on this Friday the 13th....

This isn't my "Primary" job......
Okay, I love to craft, but I don't get paid (in cash, anyhow) for doing it. Although, I am thinking about trying my hand on craigslist.....
For those of you who know me, I watch a child (affectionately known as EK) during the day. His mother is an CBS- Certified Behavior Specialist and his father is an awesom mechanic and I get to help teach their son right from wrong (no jokes here).
My card has nothing to do with that, except that it uses "PRIMARY" colors as requested by the Ho's in their weekly challenge. This card also is being submitted to the challenge over at Crafting with Deedee's Digis.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
This was a fun one (well, two....). The digi and sentiment are from Deedee, the papers are from Close to My Heart, the two little blue gems are from WM, and the big red button was in a bucket that I picked up at an estate sale this summer!

WOOHOO
I was honored yesterday when I found out the my friend, Kelly, bestowed an award on me.
To receive this means to do 4 things:
1. Thank the person who gave you this award ~ thank you Kelly for this sweet award, it means a lot to me!
2. Copy the award and put it on your blog.
3. List three things which you love about yourself: (I give this the old college try)
A. I love that I am a Sister in Christ! I cannot thank the Lord enough for giving me life!
B. I love being a wife and mother. Yesterday was my 12th Anniversary and I cherish my family and the life we have together.
C. I love being able to create - whether it is with paper, on paper or without paper. The without paper is usually in the kitchen with food - ask my family, I love to cook!
4. Post a picture you love: This is not recent - in fact it is 12 years old....It is my wedding day and despite the fact that you don't know these people (they are my family) I am going to list them: JoAnn (my niece), my BIL Tony and DS Valerie, Mike and me, Nonie (my mother), Brian and Crystal, DB and SIL, and Danielle (my niece).
Tag 5 people you'd like to give this award to: (I am not good under pressure, so everyone can grab this up!And, I didn't follow the directions, since not all of these people have blogs.)
1. Jenn - for getting me into TUC
2. Michelle - despite not having a blog, she is always here to cheer me on
3. Sam - for being a great inspiration in everyday life....nothing gets her down for long (PRAYERS go out to her this week while she gets her third treatment)!!
4+ The Dueling Darlings.....be sure to check out my blog August 16th to see what I am talking about....
I know there wasn't a new card or craft here, but I hope to get something posted later today!

Better Late than Never....
I am close to the wire on this one. I have about three hours to get something uploaded....lol
Crafting with Deedee's Digis had a challenge on Monday (can you say procrastination??) to do something "vintage". I must say that I am not really sure this qualifies as vintage, but I did use retro colors and ink the edges of my papers...
So, here is my little 3 by 3 card that my son thinks is adorable.
I used one of Deedee's Cuties for a Cure for the card I am showing you....The other eleven images are colored, just waiting to be put on matching cards...

How Delightful!
I somehow missed making cards last month for the Delightful Inspiration progressive monthly challenges. It must have been the heat...
So, with that in mind, I have started out the month using their first week's image. I colored it up a few different ways...and, this is the one that my DH liked the best. So, I went with it, even though I actually liked a chalked one better. This one is colored with a watered down version of CTMH inks...I like that the bear looks a bit textured.... I kept it simple with the only embellishment being a little bow I made. The stars are punched out of the back side of the paper I used for the sentiment (by Sandy Lion). Thanks for checking it out this sunny Saturday.

Finally, Friday....
I am a SAHM and don't usually care which day of the week it is, BUT my darling son comes home from Boy Scout Camp today. While he was only a little homesick, I, on the otherhand, have missed him terribly. Now, don't get me wrong....I love that I had quality time with my husband, but I did miss the young one!
I made this card from last week's freebie over at Bugaboo Stamps. I think it will go to my son at some point in time....My sentiment came from CTMH, but it did come with one when downloaded. The bling on it is shiny silver and don't show up well in this picture. I like how it finally came out - had an idea of what I wanted the finished image to look like and didn't quite make it, but in the grand scheme of things, I am happy with it!!
Thanks for checking it out!

Thrilling Thursday
I am not really sure today is going to be "thrilling", but must feel optimistic about it! LOL
The heat and humidity are staying in Western New York for another day (boo, hiss), so I am sure my day will just get more sticky as it goes on. An early morning storm that rolled through did NOT help any!!
I promised yesterday to try to get a card made. I did! TADAAAA
The image is from Fresh Brewed Designs (did y'all stop by and wish a Happy Birthday to Heather on the company being 1??) and the paper is from SandyLion. Everything else came out of my scraps...
I also go a few things colored and some papers and embellies selected for projects to be done in the near future. Yep, maybe today, even....lol
I hope everyone has a great day!
Thanks so much for stopping by;

Just so YOU know I am still ALIVE
We have been busy, busy, busy!
And that means I haven't really been creating. The heat and humidity have set back in, so my mojo went right out the door to cooler climates...
So, I am posting a collage of my recent gathering with my cousins and all (well, most) of our families!!
I am off to my FIL's house and am actually taking crafting supplies with me, so chances are that you will get to see something crafty from me tomorrow!!
Thanks for stopping by!

April
