Crafters of Faith

"For God so loved the world; that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

This is Jackie's most favorite verse in the Bible. She says: "It speaks to me about love...a great love that will never end. How awesome!!! For the month of May; I would like you ladies to create something out of love. Interpret this anyway you want...it can be a fave stamp set; some of your fave embellishments, maybe even a project for a loved one. There's so many possibilities & I can't wait to see what you all come up with! Have fun & Happy Stamping!"

I have so many joys in my life....it was hard to choose for my card this month. I love purple....love this gingham ribbon...am learning to love glitz (thanks, Carol).... I also love this sentiment. It is so true....how can following in the path of a lone butterfly be anything but joyous?

Oh...you want to see the card....
Did you think it wasn't done?

I promised it before day end and here it is!

Batter up!

It is still practice for our baseball team....okay, my son's team....lol. Who am I kidding? I haven't really played ball in 20 years!!

Anywho, I got a jump start on a thank you for Coach John...

This is a svg file from the Cutting Cafe

They, along with Stamping Chef

are our sponsors for {PIN}spirational Challenge #58. Our photo this week was easy peasy inspiration.....just 'cuz I am a sports' mom!!

I mounted my cut out bat onto brown card stock and then onto the infield some grassy designer paper. I don't (gasp) have an electronic cutter, so I used scissors, but skipped cutting out the laces and drew them in myself. The embellies are buttons my friend Kelly gifted me many, many moons ago!

Friend....

Yep.....that is the title of my day late card. Lol!
Life is certainly running on high speed at the moment.
My son is being confirmed this weekend and my husband is done with Bell Choir so my time running should minimize. That is until we start traveling around the county for baseball. It is only practice at the moment, so it is only one night at the moment...lol....ONLY.

Here is my card for {PIN}spirational Challenge #57
I was lucky enough to use a digi from one of our weekly sponsors ~ Flat Friends

Our other sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps.

Both are offering prizes, so be sure to check out the rules and details over on the {PIN} Blog.
Oh.....and here was the {PIN} for the week:

I followed the current sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. They are having a judged contest this week....and I missed it by not using any flowers.....think I can get away with mentioning the fact that I took the picture in my Lilac Tree??

Calendar Girls..

Better late than ever!
I must apologize. This was due April 28, but my mojo was on vacation....I have had it done now for two days, BUT laziness and family took over. I can finally breath through my nose again, though! (TMI, I am sure)

I followed the Mojo Monday 291 sketch and came up with this card for the challenge from Carol:
As the saying goes April showers bring May flowers....
To me April showers clean the earth of its worn out snow, dust and dirt along with nurturing new seeds and life to our surroundings (gardens, yards, trees, etc). It also, to me signals new beginnings....so for this month I would like for you to create a card that does just that...it could be a wedding card, a baby card, even a New Years card...OR it could be a card that uses something worn out or pre-used and develop a new use for it...ex: mesh bag from fruit...used once to hold fruit: new beginning...used on the card...repurposed.. I know all of you are very talented crafters and I can hardly wait to see what you come up with...
Have fun with this challenge...
((hugs)) Carol

I must admit...I took the banners off another card....and the flowers from another. Nothing like going through you stash and finding those cards that just don't make you smile. I decided to go with just the Spring theme because it is a 'new' season ;-)
Make sure you stop by the other Calendar Girls' blog....they love luv too!
