Our theme this month, as alluded to in my title, is reading! I love to read....have since I was a young'en! In fact, I read just about anything I can get my hands on. Growing up, I lived five houses away from the only remaining one room school house in our county. My parents were part of the historical society preserving it and I had access to the key. What wonderful books I found to read in that library!
My son and I are currently reading "Eye of the Crow" by Shane Peacock ~ the rot agonist is a young Sherlock Holmes! I don't really have a favorite book (probably whatever is in my hands at the moment), but for an easy read I do enjoy Janet Evanovich and her number series of mysteries.
Terry, our hostess, sent:
Image: "Well Read" from MFT
Paper: Study All by Basic Grey, solid brown from DCWV, and Frigid from Fancy Pants
Accessories: CTMF baker's twine, Lone Star's buttons, Nailheads by Mark Richards, and ribbon from her stash.

The layout is so perfect for the DP's you chose to work with. I love the rounded corners on the image as well.
A one room schoolhouse. I can't say I have seen one, or been lucky enough to use their library. How fun!
What a delightful card and thanks for sharing the story about growing up next to the old schoolhouse! How wonderful! Love how you used the star button on the ribbon and of course your coloring is perfect!
April, your card is so fun! I love the button/ribbon/twine treatment... and wow! Love how you darkened the sentiment. Is that sponging? Your layout is great, too... and of course you colored the image to perfection!
Lucky you... having the key to so many books growing up. A child's perfect haven!

Love it! Great design and colors, plus loved reading about your old schoolhouse.
