Calendar Girls Challenge

First, I must say: "Thank you, Blogger!"  I am sure we have all been in the same boat the last couple of days, so I won't bemoan the fact that I almost didn't get this posted!

Now, on to the card and the challenge that Barb set out for us!

The challenge was to get into shape for the upcoming season....nope, not personally in shape, but to try a new shape for making a card.

Deedee Anderson showed off a very cool card not so long ago and I really wanted to give it a try.  You can find it here - along with the link to the original design and template for this standup card!  I must admit that I changed mine around just a bit and made the back the front.

I can only take a guess at who's stamp this is, since it was given to me  ~ so, if you know for sure, let me know.  I used my Cuttlebug to make the tree background and the fence pieces.  And, I must mention that all paper and cardstock was from my stash.... I am still on a minimal buying spree...lol

PLEASE, stop over to the blogs of the rest of the Calendar Girls.....we all love to get LOVE~

In Sympathy

I can't say that I have many sympathy cards on hand.  Probably because it isn't a fun thing to create...
So, I needed one and decided to make two...

The sentiments are from Deedee's Digis.  Inside the cards are also sentiments from Deedee.  I forgot to take pictures of that, though....lol

The ink and stamps are from CTMH, everything came from my never ending stash...lol

Thanks, Cricket!

Y'all do not know how happy I am to be here!  Jamie even helped me find my mojo....well, it has been slowly coming back, but then.... my camera was dead.

Tonight, it all came together - mojo and the ability to post....lol

Drum roll, please....

This is for a color challenge over at SCS.  It was to use Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Perfect Plum.  I hate to admit, but I don't have SU cardstocks....So, I improvised and used what I had - a brown, a blue of some sort and a plum that is reall too dark....lol...  I tried!  And I had a great time and love that Jamie got me off my butt to make a card!

DDD.....A Secret...shhhhh

What a fun kit this month and what a so worthy person to honor with it! As part of our challenge this month, we were asked to give a shout out to our fearless leader!

I can honestly say that Jeanette, head Dazzler, is one of the most awesome people I know! She never has a harsh word and the talent which exudes from her is mind boggling!

Make sure you stop by all the Duelers and leave some LOVE...click the badge to the right to find their links!

Deets: Image from Whipper Snappers; Sentiment from Fiskars; DP's from DCWV and Hot Off The Press... And don't forget the coffee stir from Starbucks!

IT'S ERIC'S BIRTHDAY

Nope, not the little guy I watch, but my son's BFF!!

The first card highlights an image from Mo Manning and papers from Close To My Heart; the second utilizes a Puddle Jumper drawn by Designs by LORi. I really like how Noah is standing in front of the balloons (a Target gift card).

Creative Cowgirl Challenge

I am so sorry to have been neglecting my blog and all of the lovely people who follow me.  Baseball season for my son is in full 'swing' and that doesn't leave me much blogging time.

Today's image is from
and, ta-da, she is sponsoring this weeks challenge of ANYTHING GOES!
To check out a ton of inspiration, and all the challenge rules, please stop in at the Creative Cowgirl Challenge blog.

Thanks for stopping in,

oops...deets on the card - all dp and the sticker for the tag are from Sandy Lion, the ribbon was in my stash, and I colored the great Michelle Perkett image with a blender pen and Close To My Heart inks.

So sorry....

I am terribly sorry that I have been MIA lately.  Life just got in the way of posting.  I have been crafting...and doing dishes and laundry (constantly) and BASEBALL....yep, Babe Ruth season is here and with at least two games a week and practice....phew, I am never home (or so it seems)

So, tonight I am sharing two cards that I was commissioned to make.  A woman at Church asked if I could make a card for her grand-daughter's bridal shower and another celebrating their wedding.  The woman is always put together and at 91, that is amazing to me.  (She still drives, and quite well....)

So, here it goes - the two cards I made.

Shower Card
The papers of the two card match one another.

Wedding card ~ the interior is 1Corinthians 13:4-6
I kept it simple for a more elegant look!

Let me know what you think.  Also, if you could, let me know what I "should have" charged for the two cards.

Happy Birthday, Michael!

Just a quick post to tell my DH how much I love him on his special day.

All stamps are CTMH, paper was all scraps and the embellies are three little black metal dots.  Oh, I did emboss the silver metallic paper with a diamond cut folder thru my CB....

Happy 40th, dear!!
