Country Bumpkin Stamps!

Never heard of this line of stamps?
Well, there is a reason for that!

It's brand spankin' new!!

I can't even tell you how EXCITED I am to tell you about them.

Lorie, you know, my stamping Sistah from the 'Hood, from The Thinkin' Spot and proud artist over at Peachy Keen Stamps, is the mother of this great line of stamps!!

I have the privilege of showing you "Max" this morning!!  I used Max on a teepee card, but I think of it as an art piece rather than a card.  I will actually be giving it to the little boy I watch as part of his birthday present.  And at three, he probably won't appreciate it as much as his mother - but, it will be a cute addition to his room.  The other two sides are pictures of him and his name in cut out letter.

Besides leaving me some LUV (yep I am needy this morning) stop by Lorie's blog and show your excitement and then hop over to the store and pick up some Country Bumpkin Stamps!!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Calendar Girls....

Good Morning!

It is the 28th and that can only mean one thing!  It is time for the Calendar girls to blog about our monthly theme!

Paola was our hostess and this is the part I went with....
~~* Hello wonderful Calendar Girls
well, sassy Miss September is finally ready to challenge YOU all....*wink*

I'd like this month to continue to be about choices,
therefore I would like YOU to pick your own challenge
by selecting ONE of the THREE choices provided below.

*choice one* MUSIC:
Select one of the three youtube songs I added below, and have your card reflecting part of the lyrics from your song of choice.
The possibilities are absolutely ENDLESS! )
I would also like YOU to gift your finished card to a close neighbour, or a friend that lives close to you that could use a 'pick me up'.

'September' by: Nat King Cole
September Song - Nat King Cole & George Shearing - YouTube

'September in the Rain' by: Dinah Washington
Dinah Washington - September In The Rain - YouTube

'Wake me up when September ends' by: Green Day
Green Day-Wake Me Up When September Ends lyrics - YouTube

I have to be honest and tell you that I didn't really know any of the songs, so checked them all out and Nat King Cole said that most to me!  He sang of leaves changing and how time is moving on.  I likes the jazzy-ness of the song and how it reminded me of a person being their own being!

With that said, here is my card....

Well, I wasn't totally sold on my card, so here is my second attempt....lol

Both have portions I like, but you may see me make another card/post sometime soon!  The first one definitely is the color palette I like, but The girl looks like she is doing a Madonna dance....lol  And, the latter card really is the wrong set of dp's.....guess I can't always be 100% behind my creations!

Check out the rest of the Calendar Girls....make sure to leave em some love!

It's a LOLLIPOP kind of day!

Woot Woot!

My mojo stayed home with me last night and I finished up a swap, AND, made a cutie patootie little card!

I am excited because I am current on a couple of challenges and that is soooo out of the ordinary lately!  LOL

It started out that I was excited about the Birthday Blog Hop over at By LORi Designs.....I adore Puddle Jumpers.... and, from there, my card fell into place!  While hopping, I found a couple of challenges that I could combine, and voila, a card was born!

I love pink and green together and got my inspiration at TPE117 and this was a fun deconstructed sketch by Jen to work with!

My Creative Juices are Flowing

Okay, I just re read my title and boy, don't I dislike it!  But, I am basically lazy today and want to get this blogged and then back to my craft table....

My friend, Forest Ranger, aka Jeanette; is the hostess this month for SOTC...Sisterhood of the Traveling Card.  She thinks "School is Cool" and asked that we use a common school supply as part of our card!  Easy~Peasy to find supplies in my house...lol

I used loose leaf paper and some left over peel and stick bulletin board pieces!!  Ta-daaaa a card for teacher!

Stamps were Close to My Heart for the doodles and Changito (Stampendous) for the immie and main sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by~

Crafting When We Can Challenge Is Open!!

I am so excited!  I have been waiting for this day for a bit now!  Why you ask?  Well, I have been a member of a couple of challenge blogs with some amazing (AMAZING) crafters and when those challenges ended, we decided to start fresh and introduce our Crafting When We Can (CWWC) Challenge Blog.  See, I have a new badge to the right, and everything!!

To start us off, we decided to keep it easy...Yep,
ANYTHING GOES!

And, how exciting is it that our first sponsor is:
Fresh Brewed Designs

I am lucky enough to be working with Banana Split for our inaugural challenge!  I love Heather's designs....make sure you stop by and see all that she has in her store!

By the way, you can click on the picture below for a larger view....

I decided to make a gate fold card to use up a couple different dp's in the same line.  My card stock was all out of my scrap file.  (If you are joining me for the first time, you know that I love to use up my scraps!) My designer paper is from Close To My Heart and the red pearls are from Michael's.  My sentiment is computer generated and says "You are my cherry on top".  I have left the inside completely empty at the moment.  I am sure I will need a card to give my DH, so when the time arises, I will add an appropriate message!

Thanks so much for joining me today!
Please, please, PLEASE stop by the challenge blog with an entry this fortnight (that's two weeks, ya know?)
HUGGZ,
April
