My mojo has been in high gear, so thought I would submit to the MFT Guest Designer contest over at SCS.
Here is the card I made! Obviously I am in a Red, White and Blue Mood!

Celebrate!
Let's have a party! Why, you ask? Well, it is my neighbor's 97th birthday! I truly believe that is a reason to celebrate!
So, how do you celebrate with him?? You have a card shower.... "Huh?" you ask. Well, you call all the neighbors, your friends and family and send him a card!
Needless to say, I didn't get mine sent, so I will walk it across the street tomorrow after lunch with a bit of a treat, rhubarb-strawberry scones! I would take him cake to go with this cute image, but I know that with all of the celebrating going on that he will have plenty of cake!
I used sketch58 at deconstructingjen and I followed the twisted challenge 2TC12 to use red with a summery project. What says summer better that red, white and blue and stars??
Hope you enjoy your Friday!

Calendar Girls!
Happy 28th of June! It is time, once again, to make my CG Post!!
Yippee! Hooray!
Michelle gave us a nifty little sketch to follow! Who doesn't like the layout set for you?? Okay, I admit that I am sometimes not a follower, BUT, in this case, I did follow sketch 388 on SCS.
I used a new set from Peachy Keen Stamps.....yippee, I won them at the beginning of the month. And, let me tell you, if you have never used them, they are TDF....always a good image and so versatile! I also made Ms. Birdie wobble. Hopefully, later this morning, my DS will teach me how to upload the video I took of this!
The paper is all from my stash....I tell ya's, I am going to not buy until it is gone! Although, I will admit that I bought adhesive today, but I don't think that counts in my non-buying promise!
So, tell me, how did I do following the sketch??
Now only do I want you to leave me a comment, but please check out the rest of the Calendar Girls(their blogs are on my left sidebar).

A quickie....
It is never fun to make a sympathy card, but I hope that this one brings some comfort to my BFF.
Normally, I wouldn't blog it until I am sure it as been received, but my mojo is crying out to me to blog....lol
I used the sketch this week from The Pink Elephant #154. The stamps are from a*muse and the paper is all from my stash....I am going to use it up this year (lmbo)!!
Let me know what you think....

Mojo Monday
Yes, I realize it is Tuesday, but.....
I have a card using this week's Mojo Monday Challenge #247. It is square/circle week and I went with square. I am sending this to my BFF's MIL, as her husband just passed away. I do realize that is my BFF's FIL.
I think this works for the wee note I am going to write.
{Did you notice that my card is only 4.25 by 4.25? That is why it will be a wee note}
Deets:
Sentiment by Verve
Card stock by a*muse
Black ink by Momento/Green distress by Ranger/Sorbet by CTMH
Paper Pad found at Can You Digi It? store
Ribbon from my stash!
Thanks for stopping by!
HUGGZ,
April
PS. Can you tell I am on vacation from babysitting? HeHeHe....pretty quiet around my house without a three year old!!

A Fancy Fold
Okay, it might only be fancy to me, but I am going with it. Isn't it how you interpret the challenge? And, besides, it isn't a normal-open-and-close-card....
I found the tutorial on SCS, but I tweaked it. My OCD, or as my kid and his friends say "CDO" where the letters are in alphabetical order, didn't allow me to let my front image turn on its side when opened, so I made a band and attached my immie to that......lol
Here is the closed card:
And the 'pieces':
You can see, I also made a matching envelope for this darling card!
Multiple layers of card stock, dp from CTMH, and the stamp set is from Peachy Keen!! Colored with Copic's and Distress Markers....oh, just a wee bit of white gel pen too.
Thanks for stopping by!

It's a guy's world......
My friend Carol, the enabler, 'made' me make this card for the current Mo's Challenge!
The challenge is to use an image by Mo and make a masculine card....done and done!
What do you think? The card itself is all scraps, the immie is Paul Typing and I used the deconstructed sketch #57.
Thanks for stopping by!

Where's the Color??
The team at Can You Digi It? is working without color this week.
I hate to admit it, but I failed....LOL
I used some digi paper and layered over it a digi Paris stamp....and, made it into a purse for my son's French (you guessed that, didn't you?) teacher. Inside is a gift card to Tim Horton's.
I hope Michelle and the others won't beat me with a wet noodle for the awesome color in the background!

For that Special Man!
The DUEL is on...it is the 15th of the month, ya know??
Jamie and I are lucky enough to hostess this month and sent kits to our partners.
I sent:
Krafty Dots by Recollections, Out of Print/Storyteller by Basic Grey and Go Fish/Mini Fish by Carolyn Holt Designs
Burlap and Pearls by Recollections
Ribbon and Bakers Twine from my stash
Clothespin from SU!
Stamps: Favorite Occasions by JustRite and Totally Tool set from SU!
Here is what I created:
I went with a Kraft base, added some green cards stock from my stash and voila...a card! I am not sure who is getting this card..probably my surrogate father (mine passed away while I was a teenager). I do have a couple days to decide!
Make sure you stop over to the other dueling blogs!

Holy Canolli!
The new technique to try this week over on SCS was a triple easel card...lmbo...they had an either/or, but I tried both.....just the easel part gave me nightmare....I can fussy cut with the best of them!
Looks good, but for this ol' girl is sure was a challenge. I didn't want quite what any of the tutorials showed, so I "modified" the directions to make it my own!
Let me know what you think. (I intentionally left the sentiment on the base blank because I don't want to give away who will be getting my card!)
