It's been one of those weeks!

I truly don't like to vent here, but my week started out truly cruddy and my crafting mojo went out the door with the warm fall weather.
Then I was struck a blow when I learned that someone I thought was honest and trustworthy in the crafting community shut the door on not only me, but a whole design team and community.  To say the least, everyone should own up to their own mistakes.  It is the least a person can do and lets honest people (for example, ME) remain honest.  I guess my only mistake was trusting the wrong person in this whole episode.  I do apologize, not for the culprit, but for possibly, unwittingly, using an image that was not legally one I could use.
To top my week off, my husband, who has been jobless for over a year, and I decided that we just can't stay in our apartment for another year and have made the very hard decision to move in with his father.  This won't been an easy move for my husband, or I; but will be VERY hard for our son.  I thank God for finding us a way to keep our heads above water.  While it hasn't been an easy decision, we know that it is one we were meant to make.

Okay, done with that - basically, I hope you all skipped my tirade and moved straight to this nifty card!
I have used a digi from Deedee's Digi, Warm Wishes, and followed her Happy Monday Challenge, which can be found HERE.  It's a great sketch, and I am not sure I did it justice.  (I did tweak it just a bit.)It is actually a very nice card IRL, but didn't translate well in the photo.  The paper was all scraps - I believe that they were from the Dollar Store to begin with....lol.  That's how long I have had them.  The tag was gifted to me and I added a hole on the bottom so that I could run the ribbon through both ends.  The sentiment comes with the digi (I love, love, love that about Deedee).  The ribbon was from Big Lots and the gems were leftovers - think Michael's brand, to tell you the truth!

Thanks for stopping by!
And for letting me vent!  I will tell you the truth ~ I feel so much better just venting....

Huggz,
April

ps~ I forgot to mention that when you stop in to Deedee's Digis, you MUST check out her sale!!!

Your card is lovely....and a good rant is a-ok. You certainly sound like you've been through enough. :(

Sad to hear about your troubles with a design team...I hope it isn't one I follow. I hate when people don't follow the rules. Copyright infringement is just NOT cool.

April, first big {Hugs} to you and so sorry that you had some bad things going on. I so on that honesty thing, don't understand lying. God is guiding you down a path and it doesn't make sense right now, but it will some day. I went through that in 2009 and today I understand it all. Prayers to you and husband that it does work out for you. Now on to that sweet little card, that's how I feel today in TX no less, it is chilly,so the hot cocoa might taste great. You did a great job coloring and I just love the colors you used. Lovin' the touch of bling.

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time of late. I am a true believer that everything happens for a reason (its just we don't often know what that reason is at the time), and most often its for the better. Take strength in knowing many thoughts and prayers are with you for better times ahead and keep smiling!

April, I think you have every right to vent, so VENT AWAY!! I'm so sorry it's been a rough week for you, and that on top of everything else you've been faced with the tough decision to move. Believe me I understand, because I've been there and done that. Praying that all goes well with everything, and that your crafting mojo is back in full force by now.

Your card is great! I love that ribbon tag, and your colors, paper and embellishments all coordinate beautifully! Very well done!!!

April, I'm so sorry to hear about your tough week!!! I appreciate that you felt comfortable venting about it -- you need never apologize for needing to do that! It sounds like you and your hubby have had to make a really tough decision about moving, but I'm praying that some wonderful opportunities will rise out of this for you and your family. Keep your chin up, sweetie, and please know that many of us are praying for you! BIG HUGS! Deedee

Your card is amazing and it looks like although you may think your mojo is playing tricks on you...it's there and coming out in your cards...

Take care my friend...
