Friend!

Being the 28th, it is time for the calendar Girls to show off their cards! The links to all the blogs are in my sidebar....stop over and leave them love too!

March is Tami's month this year and here is what she said:

Um, I hope I do not hurt anyone's feelings here but we are all a little bit of paper hoarders!!!

Well, we are going to have to give up the security blanket for March. I would like to see your best created card with NO designer paper. *gasp*.....*thud* {I think J just hit the floor}.

So go ahead and grab your 'old school stamps' - yep, like a set you have not used in years - and create a card for the Calendar Girls.

Oh, and let's try to keep in theme with 'use what'cha got', please no new purchases for this round. Use what'cha got...well, everything but designer paper that is!

I cannot wait to see what my friends come up with. It is always something to look forward to!

No designer paper is an easy one for me....I never know how to mix and match them anyway, lol!
And, I have been using my stash quite well this year {am quite proud of myself, actually}.

So, what to make? I decided on a card to send to my BFF. Now, she is well aware that I am a terrible sender, so she will look for this in a month or two...lol. But, I have a PIF gift to make for her, so she will get the card with that! Did I say eventually??

Without further ado, here is my card:


I took left over cream card stock and ran it through two different inked embossing folders, added some black ribbon and an inset sentiment with some half pearls. I have been scared to ink my EF's, but they cleaned up easier than I expected!

Time to Duel

It is the 15th of March and that means my blogging buddies and I got out our swords shamrocks and dueled it out this month!

My card is rather plain...I just couldn't seem to use all of the 'accessories' I put in the kit. I loved them when I gathered them, but wanted to use the current deconstructed sketch (#93) and it all didn't work for me....lol ( Isn't that the way it goes?)
I also want you to know that I do realize my blessing is a wee bit crooked....it didn't matter how hard I tried, it stayed crooked...lol.... So, I left it! And, you will notice that I took a wee bit of liberty with the original sketch....

Oh, how the creative process works....lol

Almost Caught Up

Wahoo...whistle.....jump up and down....

Today, the fifth of March is day is the 64th day of the year...and, I am up to 61 cards/projects


Number 60 follows the current Mojo Monday Sketch (number 283 ) and uses a set from SU! I did some dry embossing on the purple panels and the wet embossed in gold on the inset. The simple blooms also are wet embossed in gold.


My second card, or as I affectionately call it #6-1, follows Tuesday Morning Sketches #188. The set is from a*muse studios.

Getting closer....three extra and I will be on track......see ya's tomorrow!! Oh yeah, let me know if you think I can get there tomorrow.....

A Mish-Mash

My mojo finally found me this afternoon, after a rather busy week and weekend....phew, I was getting worried!

Here is 55 ( I am also counting it at 56 because I not only made four matching cards, but a folder to gift them). This follows CAS(E) this sketch 17


Here is 57 using this week's deconstructed sketch ~ number 91. I am sending this card to my BIL who passed his LPN test on his first try!! WooHoo!!


My third try is too late for the Tuesday Morning Sketch, but that is what I followed.
