Happy November!

Can you believe that it is the 28th of the month already? In just a couple of days it will be December...ugh! That means lots of baking is in my near future! Great for my neighbors, not so much for my waistline!

It is probably a good thing that I have some of my Christmas cards already made!

This is my prototype that I wasn't 100% pleased with:



This is my final version:


I changed the color of the fireplace and double stamped the fire. The flowers are by Prima (a great find thanks to Kelly). The card stock is from a*muse. The ink is CTMH and the ribbon is a dollar find at Mike's.

Now, you are probably wondering why I am sharing this with you.....because today is the day when the Calendar Girls show off their version of the month's challenge. That challenge was to display a Christmas card! Woot woot...easy peasy!

Now, for the not so great part of the challenge.....we are all supposed to show off our crafting space. I must be honest and tell you that while I have a lot of space, I have terrible lighting. I am hoping that Santa brings me a new OttLite in my stocking! (I did decide I would show you my mess, since I showed you my scary pajama outfit a week or so ago!). You will notice that my cards are skewed across my desk, my ATG and stamp blocks haven't made it back to their storage bin, and I am about to send some swaps out!










I hope you will leave me some love, and then go leave some for the rest of the Calendar Girls (check my side bar)!!

    I like your Christmas card, especially the DP. Great idea to double stamp the fire.
    Why do we crafters feel so at home with a little tiny place to craft with lots of "stuff" surrounding us??

    Love your card, the Kraft with the pop of red is wonderful and the warm fireplace. The pics of your area are fun to see as well, I always feel I am the only one.

    Ohhhhhh I see a shout out - lol! Thank you - glad you were able to find these beauties as they are the PERFECT accent piece to one supah sweet card!! Love the design, the background striped candy cane paper with a roaring fireplace - perfect holiday setting! Nicely done - and love the pics of your desk, oh crafty one! Big hugs! x0x0

    Your crafting space looks alot like mine on a typical day! I would feel right at home working there ☺ All I need is the Cuttlebug and the ATG.....and I see both on your pic ☺

    April--I like both versions of your card, but the final one is so pretty!

    WOW! That fire looks so warm and inviting, I think I'll just drop by and sit a spell to warm up! I totally love your card!!! It is delightful with the image, the simple, yet elegant layout, the fun flower. Perfect!!!

    Loved seeing your space, too! I think it looks like a lot of creativity takes place there. I hope Santa hears your request and you get the Ott-Lite of your dreams!

    Wow April...gotta say I looked at the first card and thought...hmmmmm what is she going to do to make it better it already looks great...then I looked at the second card and I do like the change in colors but they are both awesome...(gotta say, your crafting spot looks neat compared to mine...)...great job on this challenge...

    Great card April!! Love that fireplace and really love the striped DP!! That flower is so rich too.

    As for your space, looks like the space of creativity in motion! As I said on the other's blogs, I can make you all feel sooooo much better if I were brave enough to post pics of my space - yikes!
