Be Still

Our Crafters of Faith group changed direction the first of the year.
We became the Carriers of Faith.

I think both titles apply now - and, then also!

Rather than post cards, we will be posting a scripture and a blurb showing our feelings and thoughts about that verse; along with a picture.

Kelly is starting us off with this challenge:
"COF Challenges!
January Challenge :
January Scripture: “Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
January photo inspiration: Spending time in stillness, in prayer."

I searched back through some of the photos I took and while many reflect on this verse I decided this was the most perfect.

What better way than to landscape the front of out house with some lillies?  Not the lily that you typically associate with Easter and the Resurrection, but one which shows off his magnificent being.  It is purple to signify his kingly presence, it blooms once a year to show his coming and it does so when you are least expecting it.  If can easily be missed as it blooms seemingly out of nowhere.  One day it is just pretty green foliage, the next you see the stem reaching out of its folds, reaching to show you it's magnificence and its bloom.  Drawing you to it.  Knowing that you have believed and prayed that it would come again.  And there it is.  Glorious! The answer you have been shown.  If you aren't there at  the right time, believing, knowing, you would have missed it.  So like the answer to our prayers.  You must be still and listen to Him.  The answer appears, just like my lily.

Oh April! What a stunning flower!!! It is a beautiful reminder of our Savior, who will come again when we least expect it, but also who is here with us all the time - just like that lily is there (just under the soil) all the time and shows up in all its grandeur at just the right moment.
